Carbon Free Hose - VELON V.S. Other Brands

Carbon Free Hose - a hose free from carbon (non-conductive) primarily used in the electrolytic steelmaking industry for special boiler coolant applications and other industries requiring non-conductive applications. The specially designed carbon-free inner and outer rubber layers can meet low leakage applications (less than 20 microamps under 6 kilovolt DC). Today, we will share the relevant product tests conducted in our professional laboratory, where we compared the performance of Carbon Free Hose - a hose free from carbon (non-conductive) from leading brands with significant global recognition in the market. We will compare them from three aspects: 1. General physical performance 2. Aging resistance performance 3. Non-conductive performance 4. Bending performance and ozone resistance performance.

Firstly, we compared various physical properties including indentation, elongation, etc., as shown in the table below. It can be seen that C Brand's physical performance is not superior to VELON's in some aspects.

Conclusion:

1)The hardness of A 400's tuber and cover is smaller than the other two hoses

2)The density of the A 400's tube is higher than the other two hoses,which means its content percent of the rubber is smaller.

3)The tensile strength of Velon's EPDM and S Brand's Carbon Free is higher than A 400.

4)The abrasion resistance of Velon's Carbon Free is better than A 400.

 

Then let's compare the aging resistance of three Carbon Free Hoses from different brands. We conducted experiments using professional equipment in an environment of 100 degrees Celsius for 22 hours. Here are the results:

Conclusion:

Velon's Carbon Free has the best aging resistance performance.The aging resistance performance of A 400 and S Brand's Carbon Free is similar. 


Thirdly, we conducted non-conductive performance tests on three different Carbon Free Hoses. Here are the results:

Conclusion:

1) All of these three hoses can meet the resistance requirement.

2) S Brand's Carbon Free has the best resistance performance,and the second is Velon's Carbon Free


Finally, we need to conduct bending tests and ozone resistance tests, both of which are crucial for our industrial hoses as they directly reflect the lifespan and other parameters of our hoses.

Note

There are many cracks on the hose where it is bent and the width and depth of those cracks are large

 

 

No cracks on the hose where it is bent.

There are cranks on the hose  where it is bent and the cracks are deep

 

Conclusion:

 

1) For the A 400,its ozone resistance is poor than Velon's Carbon Free and S Brand's Carbon Free.On the hose bend,there are many cracks.Even if the hose where is not bent,there are still has lot of cracks.

 

2) Velon's Carbon Free has the best ozone resistance performance.There are no cracks on the hose where it is bent.
