What is Peristaltic Pump Hose?

It has to withstand the squeezing of the rotor, but also remain flexible enough to return to its original state, so as to achieve continuous delivery. From this it can be seen that the hose's resistance to abrasion and extrusion and its resilience are of vital importance. Therefore, the structural design of the hose and the choice of materials are very important. Peristaltic pumps in the field of medicine have a certain understanding of students may think of peristaltic pump tube, yes, they work almost the same principle. But there are major differences in the design of the hose. Peristaltic pump tube in the field of medicine is not reinforced layer, while the peristaltic hose pump tube is a reinforced structure.

Part C serves as the outer rubber. It is usually made of wear-resistant rubber, which is used to protect the inner rubberized cord fabric layer from the abrasion of rotor extrusion. The presence of the outer rubber layer also enhances the overall performance and life of the hose. Two appearances exist on the market today, the cloth surface and the glossy surface. The cloth-faced hose is the same appearance as the common industrial hose, which has a large outer diameter tolerance and a large wall thickness tolerance, usually with a tolerance range of ±1mm, and is characterized by a higher cost performance. Turned surface appearance, is the fabric surface hose implementation of the secondary processing, through the hose exterior grinding or turning, to achieve high precision appearance, usually tolerance can reach ± 0.2mm, smooth surface friction is smaller, more durable life.

Industrial peristaltic hose pump wall thickness is one of the important indicators of hose performance. Only the correct wall thickness hose can be installed into the pump and can work reliably. Precise tolerances on hose wall thicknesses ensure consistent compression without pressure peaks. This minimizes stress on rotors, bearings or other mechanical components. A difference in wall thickness of just 1mm can reduce the life of a hose by at least 25%.
